Our Story
It all began in 2014 when we were blown away by the impact of botanical extracts, including those from hemp. We soon discovered the health benefits and effects cannabinoids had on our family’s and friends’ well-being and we were compelled to share this with other human beings.
Ever since then, Essentia Pura has, together with industry experts and scientists, pioneered numerous applications, processes, and developments that merge Science, Technology, Nature, and Health Care. We built our company based on values of respect, quality, excellence, commitment, integrity, kindness, and sustainability.
Our Facility
In Vipava Valley, at the intersection of the Mediterranean and Alpine regions, where the sea meets mountains, our main manufacturing facility takes place. With our passion for mother nature and serving our customer’s needs, we engage in every process of our production. We carry out many of the activities now at the core of cutting-edge phytochemical research and production. We complete custom development services that adapt to specific needs with maximum flexibility and versatility. We share with our partners our expertise, our know-how for the formulation of botanical active ingredients, and our production capacity at all levels – from laboratories, to pilot plants, to full industrial scale.

Our Technology
Sophisticated extraction is the key to obtaining the purest extracts, free from solvents and toxins. That’s why we use supercritical CO2 extraction, which is a high-tech extraction process in which extraction is performed in a supercritical state of CO2 behaving as a liquid but with diffusivity and surface tension as a gas, making it a very efficient penetration and extraction media.
Applying high pressures and low temperatures, we very precisely extract and save all the active compounds that a plant has. Beneficial biological ingredients, which are often lost in other extraction methods, are preserved and the result is a pure, powerful, and natural extract.
